About the Pastor
History
Glasgow Presbyterian Church was founded in 1890 to serve the spiritual needs of the community of Glasgow.  Initially the church
struggled and over the years was connected with several other churches.  Eventually the church became large enough to support itself.

Today, Glasgow Presbyterian is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  Located in the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic it is in the Presbytery
of the Peaks.

The congregation is an active one with a diverse range of ages and backgrounds.  The style of worship is traditional and based on the
reformed perspective from which the Presbyterian Church arose.

In keeping with the reformed tradition, Glasgow Presbyterian places a primacy upon Scripture.  The preaching of the Word along with the
observance of the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper also play a prominent role in our identity.

We welcome all people who wish to experience the power of God’s love and the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
