Glasgow Police Department
The Town maintains a one person police department. The Town Sergeant works a varying schedule amounting to 40 hours per week. He is also available, at times, to handle incidents while off-duty. You may call the police non-emergency line (258-2732) to speak with the Sergeant. Additional police services are provided by the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Department and the Virginia State Police.

Glasgow Rescue Squad
The Glasgow Life Saving and First Aid Crew provides emergency medical and rescue services to the Town and surrounding areas. The all volunteer squad provides both basic and advanced life support service and responds to a variety of rescue and transport calls. If you are interested in volunteering, the squad can be reached at 258-2247.
Glasgow Fire Department
The Glasgow Volunteer Fire Department provides fire suppression service to the Town and surrounding areas. They maintain a fleet of apparatus at one location. Through mutual aid agreements, neighboring departments assist them, and they assist other departments. If you are interested in volunteering you can contact the department at 258-2400.
